TMJ Surgeon.com….connect to ASTMJS.ORG for videos

This is a “housekeeping” note of sorts.  Many times I get inquiries about putting videos on this site.  I have a couple of needs and issues with this site to improve it….so all in good time.  For now, please refer to ASTMJS.ORG which is the website of the American Society of Temporomandibular Joint Surgeons…..at this site you can refer to a couple of videos relative to the dynamic functioning of the human jaw joint…..perhaps some of these will distill the orthopedics of jaw joint function.  Supplement those graphics with the surgical photos in this site and the concepts that are discussed.  Also realize that this site is for “inquiring minds” that suffer from this disorder and have not gained satisfaction with the information from providers in the field that this is a chronic condition that one must just live with….or it is a psychological condition brought about by stress….or it is a dental condition that will resolve once one has invested significant sums of money in dental related therapies…..or for an individual who may have experienced all of the above but a provider has never really suggested MRI imaging as a true way of discerning what stage of condition you may be in.

I also get requests for the site to be more entertaining….sorry, but academic information and a challenge to the mythology that sometimes infects this field is what this site is all about.
